Synopsis
Director Ang Lee (Brokeback Mountain, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) creates a groundbreaking movie event about a young man who survives a tragic disaster at sea and is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. While marooned on a lifeboat, he forms an amazing and unexpected connection with the ship's only other survivor -- a fearsome Bengal tiger.
The novel Life Of Pi contains some pretty stunning and imaginative visuals. So fans of the Yann Martel book were a little hesitant when they heard that 20th Century Fox would be turning the novel into a 3D movie.
Would Ang Lee be able to successfully convert Martel’s book into a blockbuster film? Fans got their first hint of an answer today as Fox released a trailer for Life Of Pi.
The novel tells a unique story about a boy who is shipwrecked with various circus animals. That can’t be easy to film. But Ang Lee’s trailer gives viewers one beautiful image after the next.
Movie will be shown this 21st of November 2012

Time Magazine writes: ”If the trailer is any indication, the movie is going to be gorgeous.”
Ang Lee has created some beautiful movies in the past (Broke Back Mountain, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon) but this will be his first 3D movie.
According to IMDB, Life Of Pi tells the “story of an Indian boy named Pi, a zookeeper’s son who finds himself in the company of a hyena, zebra, orangutan, and a Bengal tiger after a shipwreck sets them adrift in the Pacific Ocean.”
