THE ORIGINAL YELLOW RANGER IS A BOY, AND HIS NAME IS BOI!!!

The Pooch is back after a week of hiatus due to some important business matters, but anyways, I would like to thank admin Arjay again for posting about the 11th death anniversary
of Thuy Trang, a.k.a. Yellow Ranger.

Speaking of Yellow Ranger, one of our subscribers wondered why Trini does not have a skirt like Kimberly (Pink Ranger) in her costume.

It's simple.

Unlike Kimberly, Trini does not have a skirt with her Ranger suit and appears flat-chested in most morphed sequences. This is because the action scenes from the first season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers used footage from the 1992 Super Sentai television series Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger. Her counterpart on Zyuranger, Boi the Tiger Ranger, was male.

The original names of the Zyurangers were: Geki the Tyranno Ranger, Goushi the Mammoth Ranger, Dan the Tricera Ranger, Boi the Tiger Ranger, Mei the Ptera Ranger, and Burai the Dragon Ranger.

However, a female version of the Tiger Ranger costume was made with a skirt for the 2011 Super Sentai series Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, which first appears on the show in Episode 11 due to Luka Millfy/Gokai Yellow being female.

Since 1975, most Yellow Rangers from the Super Sentai franchise were male. The first female Yellow Ranger in the franchise was Yellow Four from Choudenshi Bioman in 1984, though there are still other male Yellow Rangers followed after her.

Saban made the Yellow Ranger female is because Yellow is considered feminine in the Western world like Pink.

As of now, in Super Sentai history, there had been 16 male Yellow Rangers, and 17 female Yellow Rangers.
